I couldn't believe it, we slept in; waking at 7AM. I believe I was deceived by the blackout drapes in the room and the fact that it was overcast. It rained all day and was still raining into the wee hours of Sunday morning.
The plan for the day was brunch at Haitcha's and then drive back to Busan.
By the way, I happened to be looking out when a car arrived at the hotel. It was three ladies and two children...they were apparently the only other guests in the hotel. However, when Chooch picked us up this morning there were about 15 cars in the parking lot. We can't understand how they could stay open, especially since this was a holiday weekend.
We went back downtown to the traditional market and spent the major part of the morning hanging out with Chooch. We did a little shopping, a little eating and a lot of laughing.

Around 11AM we went to Haitcha's. Haydn did not have a good night and was a little under the weather. But that didn't stop him from playing a little soccer with his Dad and Grandpa.

I wonder what Mike was contemplating as he pondered his surroundings?

Haitcha and Rachel prepared a wonderful meal...and...

We dined traditional Korean style.

After eating, we packed the car, said our sad goodbyes to Rachel's family, stopped by the store for some more of a delicious ice cream sandwich filled with sweet beans, filled the car with gas on we were on our way for what should have been a 2 1/2 hour trip. For some reason, traffic was horrendous and it took us almost 5 hours to get back to Busan. The good thing about that was that Haydn slept most of the way.
A sweet precious baby boy!

This is a golf course Mike spotted, not too far out of Geochang.

Haydn took a picture of another 'precious baby boy'!

We needed a break so we stopped at a McDonald's and had a traditional American snack! :)

I became enthralled with the street lights...they were not all the same...see?

Arriving back at We've Poseidon, we unloaded the car and Chooch downloaded the Idol results show...no, we had not heard that Lee was one of the final two until we watched the show. How exciting to see his hometown visit. Michelle and Lindsay, we were looking for you and the girls, then remembered that you weren't with the commoners but in a suite! :) Looks like it was an exciting event in Mount Prospect! You know we would have been right in the middle of all that action!!
Tomorrow is the 25th day of an amazing adventure for Mike and me!

I hope Lee wins. He started OK but has gotten better and better. Chrystel started at the top but seems to be a bit over whelmed. Love seeing your blog everyday or so.
ReplyDeleteWe will be happy with either Crystal or Lee, but with our ties to Mount Prospect, we would love that for the village! Thanks for reading the blog!
